do the race car drivers get more money each time the advertisement gets seen on TV

The drivers get NO money from the advertisements on their cars and apparel. The team GETS the money. The driver gets the amount negotiated in their contract, no more and no less.

The money from advertising is PAID to the TEAM for the team to be able to continue to run in the competition.

Th amount of times the advertisements, either the car or the drivers in their apparel determines how much the advertiser is willing to pay. For instance, with the Renaults and Ferraris, and to a lesser extent the McLaren's have been up front for most of the race, and hopefully have got more tv coverage out of this, and will demand more money from their sponsors/advertisers due to this.

On the other hand, a Super Agurri is not challenging anywhere in the race and will probably only be on tv due to coverage of another car close by. (Overtaking, lapping, coming out of pits, accident, etc). These advertisers will not pay as much money for their sponsorship.

For instance, now that Button won in a Honda, Honda could ask a new sponsor/advertiser to pay more money then the advertiser would have last week or even last month.

By KEN CONITO For Duluth JournalProctor Speedway held its practice session on Sunday, with an estimated 40-50 cars. The weather was bright and sunny with temperatures in the upper 50’s. Drivers from Late Models, Modified, Midwest Modifier’s, Super Stocks and Pure Stocks were there trying out their cars, trying to get them set up for next weekend’s opener.The track was in excellent condition, the surface smooth.
