My friend is 6'10" and he is interested in becoming a race car driver and he asked me what I thought about him becoming one, but I think he's too tall to fit into most cars for F1, or even for Nascar. I want to double check first before I tell him what I think.
race drivers are in the same boat as jockey's. mass = less power, but if he is already 6' 10" his chances of making it to f1 are all but dead already, that doesnt mean he cant race and have alot of fun, but most of the top drivers come from wealthy famlies, and started before they were ten years old,

Their heights are different. For example in F1 now, Mark Webber and Jenson Button are the tallest (6 feet 1 and 6 foot tall respectively) while some like Alonso and Heikki are about 5"5 to 5"7. Massa is about 5"4. Obviously 6"10 is considered really tall and adjustments has to be done to the car, but I don't think it'll be a problem.

They are usually between 170-180cm but Alex Wurz was 189cm but he had no problem adjusting to his Williams.
